I agree if you can't respect the culture you have no business travelling to the country!

Absolutely agree!

I was hesitant based on your title, but reading your description I agree. Other countries aren't theme parks designed to cater to tourists whims, you have to respect the people who live there.

Yeah I've met all kinds of people that every time they're abroad, the whole time they complain about how things weren't exactly like in their home country, and it irks me every time

Reminds me of the tourists who disrespected the holy water spout thing, like I'm not religious but I still follow the "house rules" ya know?

I have known so many people who spent the whole trip (if they are younger) planned around instagram spots, with no money at all to do the museums or restaurants or anything, and older people on huge tour groups on the cruises. Then the cruise people complain about the spots being touristy and tacky. Like yeah DUH!

But aren't things kind of well, if this deserves complaining? Sure, you can do stupid things to hinder your own enjoyment, but I say let them.

Seriously it's like nobody cares. Don't spend so much and plan your whole trip around pics nobody even looks at for more than a second, if at all. Idk people are weird. They're never there in the moment enjoying it either and don't often learn a thing. It's just drinks, cheap food, outfits, and planning the whole day around photo spots

Def not unpopular but thankfully you can avoid those people mostly as a savvy traveler Also if they complain about the service abroad they are probably of the "no tip" club in the US
